Yes, only people with low sex drives read books. Why wouldn't you just want to masturbate or fuck all day? Only reason you don't want to is because you can't.

You wouldn't know that as you've never read a book.

I've tried atleast. Want to know about something? Search on youtube and you'll get a documentary about it that'll save from you a 500-page sleeping pill.

You could give me an hour long documentary and it still won't cover a whole 100 page book.
You're just lazy and need imagery and information quickly crammed into your brain that you won't even remember instead of doing it slower and more efficiently (reading).
Give me a documentary and i'll remember parts of it a week later. Give me a book and i'll remember most of it a year later.

@15916312(OP)
Still a better use of time than coming to a literature forum of all places to mock books.

>You could give me an hour long documentary and it still won't cover a whole 100 page book.
it doesn't matter if the book covers a lot, in the end you'll forget all that stuff and remember only the key parts which you would've already got if you just watched the doc

Well that's not the case for me. For example, I watch about 1 - 2 hour long lectures a week per unit. As good as these lectures are, I get so much more in 30mins from reading a text book chapter.
This is the same with a documentary, distractions 100% plays a roll in this, however text books and books in general generally contain a greater, but clearer amount of information

You're missing the point, even if you get more information from a book, that is for the time being, or temporarily. Most details will fall out from your brain over time. In the long run, what you'll retain is the same amount you would've retained from a doc.

>> No.15916613

>>15916587
Well you must just have a bad memory. That's okay, maybe just stick to netflix and pornhub then.

>. In the long run, what you'll retain is the same amount you would've retained from a doc.
That's confirmed to be false. Digital text doesn't help retention the way physical text does.
