What is German idealism? What should I read to learn about it?

I always appreciate /lit/ being helpful, but what's with that chart, is it meant to be a meme that I missed? Secondary literature is probably fine, but there should be at least a bit of Kant in there.

Also
>Schopenhauer influenced by Nietzsche

It says "Influenced Nietzsche". Also, Uncle Schop is not German Idealism, the Chart is a bit misleading, only the upper part is Idealism.

Read in that order:
Plato-Aristotle-Kant-Fichte-Schelling-Hegel

True. I misread it because it made no sense to me why anyone would mention that in that context. I overlooked Schopenhauer not being a part of German Idealism since he's still a part of that same epoch so one can argue that he should still be studied alongside the others (his World as Will and Representation still owes much to Kant even as he goes beyond him).
