if we're generalising, it's because philosophy books have little bearing on the female preoccupation, which is an inclination towards that of people and of emotion, as opposed to the male penchant for the abstract and the inanimate concrete.

Because of the aprioristical male approximation. And that is also the reason female philosophers can write more novel ideas than traditional male philosophers (even if they don't do it and just write liberal dogshit like almost every american or european female philosopher at this moment).

how do you know? although women read more than men in aggregate (i.e. across all subject matters and genres), and although more women study humanities and socsci, it doesn't necessarily follow that the amount of philosophy read by women is greater than that read by men.
consider that more men receive philosophy degrees (https://www.amacad.org/humanities-indicators/higher-education/gender-distribution-degrees-philosophy)), or that more men get phds, more men go to grad school, more men get tenure track positions, more men get actual professorships, etc. in fact, in all likelihood, you're flat out wrong.

(from personal experience, I've noticed that women in academia seem far less curious and less likely to read difficult books. I've known female graduate students who read young adult fantasy in their free time!)

Because to have a legitimate interest in philosophy you have to be deeply dissatisfied with the answers you're given about how the world works, admit to yourself that this is because you don't know enough (even if no one understands anything, at least YOU don't understand it), decide that getting more knowledge would result in your being satisfied, and recognize when answers are given to appear smart rather than out of legitimate consideration and thought. This entire process requires you to be:
1. Aware of your surroundings
2. Humble
3. Curious
4. Positively critical
Whether women are not encouraged to do these things or they're incapable of them, those skills are much rarer in the female population than the male population imo. That said, most men aren't all of those things either. They're rare traits to appear in combination.

Philosophy is for high IQ white men only and the rare human Jew or human Asian. Modern women (animals) fill the void of childlessness with Critical Theory. Critical Theory enables women to view non white retard child races as the retard sub human retard child races that they are. Women now have entire races of brutally stupid, severely retarded, talking chimpanzee, nigger children to care for. This surrogate activity is enough to consume their smaller brain power but obviously not a replacement for the love between a mother and child and thus the angry, childless, penis envying, modern trash (white) "woman".

Read Wittgenstein then read some eastern books and then say fuck it and live your life. Being smart, rich, whatever the fuck else your craving is all pointless especially when you’re main motivation is to impress others or to have a reason to judge others.

I study philosophy and my course is packed with women, the majority of them being of great beauty i may add. However, when it comes to insightfulness, i would say that only a few of them can be said to possess it, but so can be said of men. I have also found that men in my course are far more pretentious and intelletually violent than women (even when they are not knowledgable, wich make them far more irritating than women): they partake in more debates, ask more questions in class, test their fellow students more when in philosophical discussion, etc. The most intelligent men i have spoken to have a surprisingly similar pattern of behaviour and motivation: they were arrogant, but charmingly so, each one in its own spontaneous way, partly using philosophy as a means for power, in general it is some kind of power dynamic that motivates them (something against which i am not against).

On the other hand i have seen that women, not necessarily being less intelligent, as i have found discussing with them many times on uni, do not partake in those things as often, ask less questions while taking more notes, tend to socialize less on campus, a portion of them being shy or socially inept (usually the smarter ones), and are not as violent when in philosophical discussion, some being prone to passivity, hiding their strenghts:

For example, me and a friend where talking about this girl we usually hang out with after class with the rest of our group composed of many people. I had spoken a bit with her, but never have i heard her speak about philosophy but once, which didnt left me impressed (However, it was ethics we were discussing, probably the most uniteresting discipline).I told him my impression, which was that she seemed pretty chill but not knowledgable, but then he surprised me: she was translating Heidegger's Being and Time in spanish and was pretty knowledgable.

Where men usually take philosophy on the front as their token of power (rightly so) women do not have this approach, women that are thirsty for power usually find it in political activity, i had the pleasure to speak to many such women and i admire some of them for their resourcefulness, however, they are usually attracted to radlib causes, quite sadly. I have yet to meet a women of such kind in the more radical, totally outside the anarchist/sjw/wokie sphere, something that men are more usually repulsed by.

Thats my experience, to answer op. Hope he stops being an incel.

That's reassuring. There's still hope for me yet looking for a pious Catholic philosophy gf. How should you go about philosophy with women? It's easy enough with men, but I feel you can't use the same approach just because I have a tendency to be a bit interrupting and brash about what I feel when talking philosophy with men.

making sure not to interrupt is a good thing. it sometimes takes a bit to get the abstract thought in my head into comprehensible language, so don't talk really really fast and expect me to keep up the same pace. when you're first speaking with someone about philosophy, avoid exceedingly controversial shit. and don't use personal attacks (which applies to all, but i think generally affects women more). take these with a grain of salt as i am only one woman and only have a couple of female friends who i can regularly debate/just talk with about philosophy. if any male anons could add you'd get a more well rounded idea. best of luck anon :)

I asked a coworker this once and she said that women are more focused on attracting mates than spending time "starting with the Greeks".
