What does /lit/ think of this quote from "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" by Francois Augieras

I've never seen this author mentioned anywhere ever but I just finished this book and found it amazing. It's real, classic magic in every sense of the word. This quote in particular stuck with me as beautiful (although yes this is in translation)
