kindle paperwhite + calibre. you can automatically convert & send to your amazon email, using their storage for your pirated materials.

I had a kindle paperwhite for a while. E-readers are ultimately cheaper than buying physical books but you have to put up with often really shitty formatting and typos that pirated ebooks have. Personally the typos combined with the poor experience of reading digital made me switch to physical. I find I read a lot more and enjoy it a lot more now that I read exclusively physical books. If you buy secondhand it's still pretty cheap.

If you're buying new, a Kobo Clara HD if you can handle a smaller device, any of the larger Kobos if you're reading a lot of PDFs.
If you're buying used, the market changes and varies a lot depending on what you can find.

i have the kindle pictured. basically i download from libgen or z-library. convert to mobi using calibre, and email to my kindle address. works for me.
