hi i read through the faq and i couldnt really find the answer i was looking for. I was wondering what the best decently priced ebook reader with a backlit screen was, preferably with e-ink. Sorry in advance if it was in the FAQ and i missed it.

This! Buy a device centered around convenience simplicity and comfort and then attach an awkward clip-on light, that's far better than just choosing a reader with a backlight

There are no back lit e-ink readers.
You'll need to make a choice between e-ink non-back lit and lcd back lit.
My suggestion is to go with the e-ink, if you need a specialized ereader device.
