Need suggestions on good books to read for my sister who’s 11, turning 12, and doesn’t usually read? She’s more of a drawing person than reading- and as such, I wanted to visit the library to borrow some books from them for her to read, instead of being on her phone all day and stuff.

It has become an uncontrollable addiction to the extent that she cut ties with her friends and cousins.

What could I also do so that she may become more interested in reading more after that? Does she have to write about the books afterward? Additionally, will helping her improve her handwriting also maybe interest her to write about the book afterward? (She complains about her handwriting a lot, so help here would be appreciated.)

Thanks for any recommendations.

No, anon. Don't give her homework. Get the biography of some female painter or some YA stuff that her friends might have read.

Really loved this book when I was around that age. Also holes, the giver, and lolita
