So here I am in the bathroom reading (pic related). I begin to take a giant shit, however I'm having trouble letting it out. I don't really mind since I'm focused on the book, but I still attempt to shit it out. As I build up the pressure my dick stands up to attention and when I take the dump I begin pissing everywhere, all over the floors and on my book.
anyways Infinite Jest general

No one here has bothered to read it yet. But they do like to put it in their fav. books in "guess my personality" threads even if they haven't read it.

This is actually a true story.
Oh and I didn't know that I just began reading it after scouring the internet for books to read. I'm not a /lit/ regular you see, also it's terribly difficult to type on your mobile when you're covered in urine.

This shit is like Gravity's Rainbow: something for people who only read books to feel superior to others - in other words, to feel less inferior.

Man the fuck up and admit this is shit.

Pynchon, Wallace, they're fucking trolls. So is Danielewski.

If you don't like/understand/take-it in, that doesn't mean it's a troll book.
Danielewski is satire, but I will admit, the tricks he uses can be a little of putting at times. I had stages during House of Leaves where I just couldn't be assed reading it. Overall though it's a great book, as is Infinite Jest. Gravity's Rainbow I've never read, but I enjoyed The Crying of Lot 49.

Also, Wallace has written some run of the mill meta-fiction too. Broom of the System for example. Which I prefered over IJ, but whatever.

I genuinely enjoyed GR. I had to stop and start over again with the readers companion because I am an undereducated shit. But I liked it. So there.
