18 year old zoomer here.
My IQ is 105 :(
What can increase my IQ, inb4 "It's too late man."?
Should I learn a new language or read a certain types of books?
I desperately want an IQ of 115.

IQ is malleable to some degree and the good news for you is that the closer you tend to the mean the more malleable it is. Optimal health guarantees greatest expression of IQ, which basically means strength training + cardio a few times a week (or staying active in some other form), eating well (whole foods based and varied diet, if you're vegetarian take creatine), meditation (actually does increase IQ) and you can also take drugs that help, mainly caffeine+l-theanine, nicotine and amphetamines (Adderall). Other than that it is most important you stay mentally active and exercise your brain towards your ends, as it will adapt over time. Your natural IQ is also not yet fully expressed, by your mid 20s you will have hit your ceiling. Interestingly enough around 80% of our intelligence is genetically determined and even the best childhood will at best produce temporary geniuses.

Midwit cope. Having a high IQ is great and it is consistently associated with all positive life outcomes there are. Having a high IQ means you are able to navigate yourself in our cognitively demanding society and are able to independently structure your life towards decent ends. The happy retard is a myth you idiots tell to yourself to cope with the fact that there are millions of people more intelligent than you, because your ego can just not take your failure both in nature and in character. OP at least recognizes the importance of striving to be more, even if your midwit IQ mogs him by one standard deviation.

i can answer that easier: zoomers have no patience. zoomers don't lurk, they just show up and post. the purpose of lurking was not just taking in board culture, but also familiarizing themselves with the basic information pertaining to the subject of a board (for instance, lurking on /mu/ would expose you to the basic albums, musicians, terms, movements, etc that you had to be familiar with in order to participate usefully in discussion).

zoomers just create a thread going asking for that basic information to be spoonfed to them, instead of just lurking for a couple of weeks to gather it themselves.

zoomers are also less likely to look through the catalogue, so they'll just start a new thread immediately.

so, you end up with 1,000 identical threads about "how do i [basic fucking information]" every single day.

This study is from ETH Zurich Math/Physics/Engineering students, ETH Zurich is elite uni and considered by many to be top 5 in the world. The average stem student IQ was 128 with 10.72SD, Meaning that 148IQ+ is top 2% among stem students there.

You also have to take into account that the test used in this study gave too much importance to numerical abilities (Gave it the same weight as spatial and verbal intelligence which isn't really typical for IQ test), The scores in the numerical part heavily screwed the overall IQ scores as students tended to score there much higher than spatial/verbal parts. So the average IQ of the stem students is likely lower than 128IQ.
