30% through and enjoying it a fair bit. It's a departure from his other work; the Quixotic structure of mini-stories is pretty endearing and Myshkin is a strangely compelling character. Not sure why he's fallen in love so quickly but eh. Can we get a comfy discussion going?

This feels the kind of book you’d have to read at least three times very carefully to have a decent discussion about it.

I need to read it again soon anyway. I only remember fragments. Rogozin’s violent attitude, Myshkin’s youth in Switzerland with the school children, the women commenting on a portrait of a knight for a entire chapter.

I can’t remember who gets the girl at the end now

The story of the soldiers and the old woman's pot (if I remember correctly) left a big impression on me.
