If you look at history, it is always has pushes in one direction but then a backlash that pushes in the other direction. Trump was just a small taste of that, there will likely be many more Trumps, and likewise many more woke pushes between them that they are the backlash too.

But it isn't a loss, because the liberal societies by their definition are unsustainable. They don't have kids, their kids grow up mentally ill, the guys are passive and just want to consume from the comfort of their room, the women are mentally ill and promiscuous and as a result end up childless and ugly with bitchy personalities. If things keep going this way, more likely we will have a catholic mexican / evangelical usa, and a muslim europe, because those cultures more-so than others continue to value a society that is built for family. You might say they will just liberalize the same way and self destruct as well, and you're right, ironically the muslims pol is so afraid of are probably the most likely, but then they'll simply be replaced by whatever group didn't.

But even that doesn't matter, because of carbon in the atmosphere the planet's heat will continue to increase resulting in a global catastrophe. Society, if it survives at all, will return to a local, more tribal civilization, probably a extremely strict patriarchy which is necessary at that stage, and because of all the resources that caused the issue in the first place were already used and will be delayed in progressing back to the old ways for centuries.

But even that doesn't matter, because nothing matters, because no matter what way society goes you are going to die, and everyone you know or any child you produce will die. Even if you mark yourself as a prophet or hero to be worshipped forever, it doesn't matter, because you won't be there to see it, and everyone doing that will eventually die as well. All your arguments over politics, and things like alcoholism, is simply the manifestation of the subconscious fear of death inside, it lies under the surface, sometimes it comes out of the surface and you suicide. The deeper under the surface the more functional you are, but it lies anyway.

But even that doesn't matter, because that is the whole reason you suffer in the first place. Your brain is basically running a software powered by a fallacy of wanting to assert an identity to combat the fear of death, but it is futile, that results in dysfunction. All you can do is stop your brain from thinking long enough to wonder, not think but wonder, the question of what are you, what is the awareness looking at everything, it isn't your body or your thoughts, so what is it? Then the software short circuits and stops working partially or fully, and you'll see what was true all along, you are nothing and everything, because it doesn't matter. And that is ironically how you end suffering.
