The cover for Saturn's Children is terrible.

I gave this a shot because I hadn't read any sci-fi in a while and a lot of people said it was good. I think it's the only time I've felt self-conscious reading in public.

I think they were trying to appeal to kids with this cover, but Ender's Game is definitely not something a kid should read (I did though). I had nightmares about the rotting corpse of a giant for a while.

I see nothing wrong with this cover. In fact, I like it for three reasons. 1). It looks like an academic version. 2). The painting brings to mind the scene of the Monster sledding across the ice in the opening section. 3). That's a painting by Caspar David Friedrich called The Sea of Ice and it's awesome. He's one of my favorite painters.
