Why would I hate the system that emerges to most efficiently coordinate buyers and producers?
I might hate the policies of the government that do nothing to guarantee a healthy society and/or hate the cultures that emerge from excess or lack of monetary power, but I wouldn't change capitalism for anything.

I think capitalism works really well at a smaller level when a country is developing. For a country like America, it has become bloated and feeds off the poor.

Nay, I despise this because I was born quite upper class - in a third world nation.
Not only am I phenotypically alienated from most of my citizens (I am a honduran of hispano-german descent), but my cultural and educational experience has been so separated from the general misery of my compatriots that any reminder of it is jarring. Conscious reminder that is, since one quickly learns to obviate everything.
While I spent my childhood in private international schools, and then studied Diplomacy in Navarre and later Stuttgart, I returned to work in the diplomatic service. And I'm currently representing my nation at the U.N. in New York.
I've seen a coup d'etat committed on a democratically elected leftist leader (fro trying to reform the constitution, our current president circumvented this issue by merely violating it), I've seen unquestionable bold-faced fraud, I've seen a quasi-dictator maintained in power explicitly because of american economic interest.
Our president's sibling is convicted druglord, very recently convicted.

My peers are insufferable, pseudo-americanised mestizos and, for some odd cosmic reasons, a variety of lebanese and jordanian maronites. The german upper class here was chiefly expelled during the great wars, and my spanish upper class heritage comes from the old blood large landowners which do remain in power.
As an insider, I can assure the dear reader they're not the great men of society because of any merit. An aristocracy sans aristos.
It's all bloody doomed, this nation. My peers live either trying to further their exploitation to live an even more senseless life of materialism, or they seek to kneel further to American interests as if these somehow alligned with ours (that is, of our commoners). And so they beg for scrapes, learn and speak canine english at home, pray to shitty vapid media, turn on catholic traditionalism for ridiculous "non denominational" Protestantism, and some even go to the extent to birth their children in America. The capitalists here have renounced even their own sovereign throne of exploitation, and so have become the pawn-like middle-management of a game ever greater.
