I can think of a few who could write nothing but crap for the next 5 years and I'd just buy it to know I supported them for writing really good shit in the past.

(picture unrelated unless we're counting music)

How can there be two separate and unrelated middle-aged men who think that this is an appropriate haircut for an adult male with dental insurance.

>> No.1579254

>>1579222
Simple. These are two middle-age men who don't need to worry about looking good. They have enough money not to worry.

You can blame capitalism for that.

If Les Claypool wrote a book I would buy that shit.

I'd rather he spent his time on music.

Fungi and Foe etc wasn't terrible but he can do better.

I'd rather he spent his time playing someone good's music.

Fizzle Fry wasn't terrible but I know he can play better.

My monies go to Salman Rushdie.

I still buy Ian McEwan novels just to witness the train-wreck of his writing now that he's become a part of the English literary establishment since Amsterdam (you're not supposed to give the Booker prize to a writer's worst novel at the time) and a boring neo-conservative to boot. Admittedly, I only buy his stuff second-hand though so he doesn't get royalties from me.
