I was afraid of becoming you, so I began to read my 50+ unread books by reading 8 hours a day. My best advice is to be afraid of those anons with close to 200 unread books and start reading so you don't become they

My family library must be at around 500. Doesn't matter, we'll finish them all in due time.

So long as you're going to read them, that's okay.

When my grandpa died, I got his giant book collection. Most of them are ancient pulp stuff that I will never read but I can't bring myself to get rid of them.

I’m currently in the process of buying 100 books before the world collapses and stores close again or delivery services stall/stop. Probably won’t happen, but I know I’ve wanted to read them forever, and will pass them down to my kids. It’s all canon stuff and very prominent books in every field of philosophy/politics.

I’ve been clearing a good amount of books as I’ve been buying, so I’m not too worried.

How do you do it? I'm at around 450 but I always cave in and end up reading a few of them. I wish I had your discipline.

I usually have 5 or 6 at Sumatra for the vanilla read, 2 or 3 at Foxit for the annotations and comments and 2 or 3 physical. The Sumatra ones usually end in 2 weeks, while Foxit goes at a slower pace

I religiously use the 10 downloads b-ok offers each day, and travel through footnotes, authors and concepts so I'm always finding new books (that I don't think I'm going to read)
