Which philosophy should I read for this?

Also not looking for Stirner type stuff because ideally I'd want to love the world and the people in it, so something that doesn't make me insufferable

Depends on your natural emotional disposition and how willing you're to deceive yourself. Attaching yourself to a religious or national identity seems to work for most people, have you considered that?

No, I want something else. I like Nietzsche's Ubermensch but I don't know where to start with him.

Should I start with Thus Spoke Zarathustra?

>Want a sense of purpose
>Want to love everyone
You can't want to be both an individual and a part of the collective. You must choose.

No, get an intro book to him. Make sure you know what Plato is about or you won't understand what Nietzsche is about.

A sense of purpose can absolutely come from being part of a collective, and an individual can still express love for the world

Nonsense. It's enough to familiarise yourself with Kant and Schopenhauer by reading up on their life and philosophies through articles, excerpts or YouTube videos. It's not necessary to slog through their thick books if you want to read Nietzsche.

The chart is redundant. Nietzsche can be read in chronological order without any problem.

Man, you can try but I had a rough time with it. It's a fun book though. It's cute in a way, it's like Nietzsche tried to write his own version of the Bible except with atheism and ubermensch.

This. Also, The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis, and perhaps his Mere Christianity as well.

You can do this by simply picking an arbitrary activity and investing enough time in it. Its basically how the sunken costs fallacy works, but with a little tweaking. You find yourself caring about shit if spend enough time on it.
