/lit/ I need your help. For those who have read "It" by Stephen King only. All others disregard. I DL'd the audiobook from Demonoid and there are 778 seperate sections. They are all numbered obviously. I listened to the first hour or so and was a little confused so i looked up the synopsis on Wikipedia to gain a better understanding but the problem is what I read and the Wiki didn't match up. The first part in which George gets his arm torn off matches up but then it jumps to the investigation of the two homos who were killed (Sorry, not very good with names) and then after it explained their sentences, it jumped to the two Jewish kids and ended after the woman discovers the husband dead in the bathtub after slitting his wrists. This seems to jump around too much and doesn't match up with the Wiki. Is this really the order in which the book is or did the audiobook get fucked up when i downloaded it?

Sounds like the correct order.

Thanks mate.

That's it. King jumps from scene to scene a lot, especially in his earlier novels.

I've read "It" by King, but I've also read "It" by Theodore Sturgeon, so I'll stay out of this thread.

Hey Tofu what do you think of Sturgeon? I fucking love him personally. His prose is just amazing as hell, probably my favorite science fiction author. YOUR THOUGHTS?

I've read that, but I've also read lots of other books, so I'll stay out.

I've read "It," by my copy was edited by someone else, implying that some of the credit belongs to someone other than Stephen King, thus in good conscience I can't say it's entirely by Stephen King, so I'll stay out.

Tofu you make me sad, man. Why do you have to do that. Why'd you do that, man.

OP Here
When I said "It" By Stephen King only, I really meant only people who have read the Stephen King novel.

I bow to you. It's hard to find ambiguity in such a detailed statement.

Check out this short story and see if you like it: http://strangehorizons.com/2009/20090413/lostsea-f.shtml

If you like that, I guess More than Human is his best novel, but really Sturgeon is at his best in short stories. Find a decent collection and go to town. Particular good short stories are Slow Sculpture, A Saucer of Loneliness (beautiful), The World Well Lost, And Now The News. I guess that's what I'd recommend.
