greatest horror movie of all time, maybe best movie of all time

the book, 7/10

the remake, let me in, 2/10. the "can't be your friend" scene was so awkward, jesus christ eli is supposed to be a little "girl" and chloe moretz is a teenager, totally destroyed the character ie the main reason for watching the movie

I attempted to read handling the undead also by lindqvist, about 150 pages in it goes from interesting unorthodox zombie story to "bawww I have family issues and I'm so religious"

Awesome movie. Did not realise it was Swedish when I bought my ticket as I was stoned but really enjoyed it. Check out the diredtors other films also. Ending was a bit too cartoonish though.

Sorry yeah didn't read properly. Haven't felt compelled to watch the remake. Why do Yanks have to remake everything? Can they really not handle a slightly different accent or reading subtitles?

as an american I have always wondered at this, but I know many people are just lazy and don't want to read the movie. While I find this ridiculous, it may be a large contributing factor.

I can only say, we aren't all like that. *shrug

Well I've never read it OP but let me tell you about the shitty Hong Kong-ass DVD I have of it.

It's dubbed in English and there's no way to change it. There are options for subs in Chinese and English. To top this off, all of the voice actors are women doing a really bad "kid voice" imitation. It makes me want to die.
