Sitting on a sofa, placed in front of a window looking into a courtyard with people coming and going from their rooms. I'm sitting upright, the low walls of the courtyard mean I have natural light throughout the day. It's a psychiatric hospital, I haven't had anything to drink, just water. Sometimes others from my ward come into the livingroom, there's about a dozen of us in all, if they're one of the talkative ones I'll put my book down to chat with them briefly, before returning to reading if they don't want to play a card game or music together.

My place to read is in bed, on my front, two pillows under my chest. Room is nice and cold, dark outside, just enough light from a small lamp to read. Nice glass of solpadeine on the floor next to me.

It was very comfy, I got through at least 200 pages a day, sometimes 300, it was nice to have no electronic distractions. Never understood the appeal of lying on ones chest to do anything such as reading, I always found it makes holding the head up awkward. Although I haven't tried it with support from a pillow, perhaps I will.
