French philosopher, focused on ontology and metaphysics. Main work: La dialectique de l'éternel présent (in 4 volumes, which 5th volume wasn't written because he passed away). La présence totale is probably the best work to get into Lavelle, since it is a resume of the first volume of the La dialectique de l'éternel présent series (vol. 1: De l'être). Incredibly dense and rich, incredible material for serious meditation.
