Non-bait answer: I thought it was an interesting peek into the lives of a (fictional) group of Mennonite women. I don't really remember much other than they seemed like they had shitty lives (they were being raped by one of the men, not their husbands, of the commune they lived in) and that's why at least one of them tried to escape their community. Nothing special really but it wasn't insufferable like most contemporary lit by women.
