>The problems he addressed are spot on, but his solutions aren't.
This is the go to sentence for anyone who has never read Marx, remember this, if some faggot says it then he hasn't read Marx.
His solutions are a direct response to the problems he addressed, if you disagree with the basic notion of workers seizing the means of production then you effectively disagree with every single major criticism of capitalism he has.

Marx writes only a handful of lines about what socialism/communism looks like. Marx didn't come up with 'solutions', he thought the solutions are evident. This is Marx's own special kind of retardation.

a classless society cannot be achieved if the state retains its current functions, I can see it happening if the state only serves logistical/administrative purposes, but not if the state is the centralized political power that upholds "laws" and enforces social cohesion, those things should be left to the communities and locally independent municipalities.

That you don't know for sure. Remember, nowadays the proletariat is worse off, apparently and all you have to insinuate that is that perhaps the guy on the picture owns that bunch of rubble.

Marx was simply wrong on that point, in 1850's he was sure of that but by the time his life was nearing to end he started to doubt it and you can see it very well when you realise the chronology of "Das Kapital".

Honestly no. If you read Das Dapital Vol.1, you would know that the living condition of proletarians, including in the country, in the 19th century (shit began in the 16th century) were disastrous. Many people in overcrowded unsanitary spaces. Then those people, due to poverty went working into the city factories, were the living condition were even worse. Today effort have been made, notably on the sanitary condition, but proletarians are still living in souless concrete to this day.

He doesn't really suggest solutions though, just makes educated guesses based off analysis of human history until the time of publication. Marx is certainly a useful intellectual and by no means a fraud but by today's standards his work requires evolution.
