The left reads fuckin' books and expands their life experience through those that write about things one may never personally be able to experience. Exposure to different cultures and experiences tends to push people more left. This exposure provides more data to determine broader political and ideological theory to explain or solve problems that are more systemic to current global issues than the simple solutions a traditionalist sees. A trad waifu is only trad within the memory of the current society, it's not a han dynasty waifu or an aztec waifu. It's the current society's memory of what recently was a waifu.
