Does anyone here have a library outside the beaten path? That is, anyone specialize/own a lot of stuff in: engineering? medicine? math? architecture?

Curious what books people collect outside humanities literature.

As a stemfag I tried to give pic related a try just to step outside of the literary realm. But in the end it was useless, because most of the book's knowledge was already acquired during my period as a student. Basically what I'm trying to say is that once you know the rules of a certain system, you can pretty much go anywhere you want.
I feel that I have learned more with Hume, Plato, or Kant when it comes to dealing with objects and symbols.

I keep missing you in other threads.
Serious question: what’s it all about for you? I see your posts, I’ve followed your library for a while now. I don’t get it. What are you trying to do?

I’d really like some insight here. It’s not that I don’t think your real- I’m pretty convinced a lot of your LARP is. I just want to know what it’s about, if anything.

Dunno, but I read a bunch of "technical" books on different things. Specially introductory. Definitely recommend it, OP. It will change the way you see the world.

The Decisive Moment by Henri Cartier-Bresson

I should've been more precise. Most of the books concern the history of arabs along the east african cost with a focus on Zanzibar and the Tanganjika lake. A good book would be the autobiography of Tippu Tipp, afaik there is an english translation but I am not sure how good it is.
