It is possible to find very interesting things. Many good authors can not break into the "big, serious" literature or do not have such a desire and are published as a pulp. So maybe some of the books from the picture will be considered a masterpiece after hundreds of years.

I try to stay away from any pulp that's modern, way too many faggots influenced by anime.
That being said, I recently finished
>The Drawing of the Three
>Interview with the Vampire
>Blood Meridian
>Call of Cthulhu
and those are all incredibly fictional but do a good job of not feeling pulpy.
