hello /lit/
I enjoy reading books, and when I do, I read for hours on end.
However, often I'm not in the state to read.
I don't know why, but most of the time I am not able to focus on reading, even if I have nothing else to do. When that happens, I end up reading the same page over and over again but my mind just cant process it.
Why does this happen? How do I fix/prevent it?

4chan use degrades reading capacity
sounds like you've lost a good amount of core capacity already. it's irreversible so just stop posting now and hope you can live with what's left

Unironically get immersed
My usual problem is thinking I'm in a state where I won't be able to grasp the text (mostly read non-fiction) so what I do is read Wikipedia entries on the author or book, and reviews as well
That quickly excites me to read a little more
