Charlie Rose is the worst fucking interviewer on planet earth. I have no idea how he made an entire career out of interviewing.

I’d love to watch you try and justify this using examples

Charlie Rose was always an annoying brainlet. Couldn't stand his interviews.

charlie rose died so JR could live

Heres an example: every interview he's ever done. Watch how he asks a question, the interviewee starts to answer, then he immediately starts asking another question. He can't shut the fuck up for five seconds to let people answer.

Ever watch one of his interviews? Cringe as fuck.

I watched his interview with female Wes Anderson of books Donna Tartt aka milf aka mommy and he interrupted a lot. Also his interview with Bret Easton Mary Harron and Christian Bale. But i still would love to have a moment like that in my life. It's better than Joe Rogan or whoever we have right now.

The whole genre of media 'personalities' interviewing experts or artists is cringe as fuck.

>> No.15523802

Tbh I'd much rather want to be interviewed by Michael Silverblatt, someone who actually reads the books and asks interesting questions and lets the author talk.

part of being a good interviewer is cutting short a long and tedious answer that doesn't answer the question. you can't give full reign to the subject or it'll lose form (see ellroy being retarded). it's a delicate balance and i think charlie managed it for the most part.
