Reading his 60 page long intro to metaphysics gave me an experience where I felt like I was dying as everything reached a shrill peak and shattered into pieces and left me completely unable until I mustered the energy to go back home and crawl my way into bed to slowly recover any sense. After that I wrote a dissertation that referenced Bergson and won awards. despite not having read anything else from him for a year, I still feel like my worldview largely owes itself to his philosophy
