I worked as a door to door salesman last summer, and on the job would frequently fuck off to a cafe and pretend to work whilst reading Faulkner or Houllebecq. And I'd just bring a book w/ me everywhere to counteract the drudgery of it all, which earned me the creative title of 'book' among my fellow salesmen. I was referred to book jokingly, but also somewhat cynically. Anyway, they were all dumb as shit, I put in such little work and got paid the same as them lmao
