1984 vs. The Handmaid's Tale

Which is the better dystopian novel? Bonus points for comparison on oppression and rebellion.

I'm gonna say the immersion of 1984 is lacking in comparison with THT but 1984 had the better story

1984 is 10,000 times better. It predicted Britain's obsession with CCTV and its government wanting to monitor all aspects of its citizen's lives "for their own good" by about 50 years (or did this become a self-fulfilling prophecy with Britons sleepwalking into what they feaed most in an attempt to control that which truly scared them?)

Handmaid's Tale is just a religious "flavored" domination/submission masturbation fantasy by some aggro, contrary dyke. Utter horseshite.

Both are good, but Handmaid's Tale has been less ripped off by subsequent books and therefore feels less spoilered.

any critical novel is dystopian.
