i've seen a lot of requests for different "deep" reading lists on here--stuff beyond the usual "meme-" or "chart-tier" recommendations.

what specific, academic-level reading lists would /lit benefit from the most?

Just get something with lectures, which is probably better. Anons are watching a bunch of people memeing on the internet anyway, so watching a book that also has some lectures is a good way to make a list that would benefit /lit/

interesting--you're suggesting that i should find pre-existing lectures (like the ones you posted, like yale open courses?) and provide a reading list around/for that lecture?
that's actually quite clever. how then to trace the most important lectures people are watching? do the lectures themselves offer up potential reading lists, or would it be more of a paratext thing?

Oh hey rapture
A deep reading list on German idealism would be great. Maybe something on propaganda.

St. John's College (MD, NM) curricula for first through fourth years. They have 2 master's programs as well one that skirts the western canon of their undergrad program, and one on Eastern classics. All worth exploring.

Other than that... Bloom's canon obv worth looking at. Picking a particular author and reading their oeuvre and apposite criticism is cool.

Anybody know of any online sources for university syllabi? Would be cool to find a scholar you like and peep the classes they teach. Major research universities usually do this to some extent with their opencourseware...

that's exactly what i am trying to do:

pykewater.com

i used to have public reading lists up but am currently working everything during quarantine. i have plenty of reading lists i plan to offer, like "propaganda" and "german idealism" to respond to >>15473618, but i'm also looking to respond to what people actually want on here

let me know if you want something highly specific. i plan on working on them for the next month or so but will open everything back up soon.

I personally wouldn't mind a chart for queer theory, but I'm not sure how other anons feel. Contemporary (20th c. on?) philosophy of science would also be nice.
