Just finished Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, What is Scientology? and Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought, and I have to say... together, they make a surprising bit of sense.

Quite entertainingly written, too. I can see why some might decide to join up. In fact, I'm going to the local Org this weekend to talk to a guy about maybe taking some courses in communication.

idk, before you judge based on internet stuff (lol when is that ever accurate) you should actually read the source material for yourself. I checked these books out from the local library for free, you should do the same.

It might just change your life.

Xenu had seen and done it all, but today he knew it was time to bring out Dianetics. Dianetics is what happen when a funnel is placed into an asshole, and a scientologist pukes into it. After the asshole is filled with Dianetics, Xenu then fucks it until the pressure is all built up. After the asshole has been fucked hard enough, the cock is pulled out and the anal cannon explodes! To top it all off, ass to mouth occurs, with scientologists licking off the fresh mix of vomit and ass for the ultimate Modern Science of Mental Health.

The only problem I have with Dianetics is it presupposes all of these research behind the techniques, but there are no records of research which indicates he creatively made it all up since it ultimately doesn't work anyways.

The greatest gift Scientology and Dianetics can give you is hope.

The "discipline" of psychology is full of contrary findings and ridiculous research and it is all completely anecdotal

When you are dealing with the human mind and experience, testimonies count -- even the so called experts rely on them.

If you want to see if it works for you, try it with a friend and see if it works for you. It's really as simple as that.

Peer reviewed research was done after the book was released. The techniques in the book weren't shown to be particularly effective, especially when compared to cognitive behavioral therapy.

I wish I could remember which journal I read about it in so I could point you at it, but it's been some five years since I read it. In any case if you care enough the information is out there to find. I remember reading at least one article that was in relation to treatment of depression and another about treatment of addiction.

if you like spirituality, want to change for the better, and have many problems with the psychological state of the world then the brahma kumaris teach meditation for FREE, plus they teach their spiritual knowledge and psychological insights, host weekly talks given by guest speakers about all kinds of self improvement and time management etc. FOR FREE. FREEEEEEEEEEEE. you dont need to sign up to any shit, you can do the meditation anywhere once your used to it because it involves having your eyes open , its greet. they have 8500 centres all over the world, theres probably one in your town or your at least going to be like 20 minutes from one by car. forget scientology.
a lady in my class has had her blood pressure return to normal from going to the meditation class, as has my grandma and another lady in a class at a different time. people sleep better, deal with people better, handle their depression or anger better, tons of things happen from meditation. you donmt need crazy ass e-meters and tons of money, just smple things people have done for hundreds of years like meditation, yoga, tai chi, whatever.
