Why is he worshiped by the masses?
He is extremely inconsistent. For every 5 novels he writes, 1 of them will be decent or good.
On top of this, and the biggest criticism I have is that his novels have zero depth or any real themes or underlying ideas. They’re just straight up plot. That’s fine if you’re reading for entertainment, but that doesn’t make you a great writer. He’s great for preteens and young teenagers who wouldn’t understand any underlying themes anyway, but it’s just flat if you’re an adult.

The masses have an average IQ of 100. Maybe for the reading 'masses' it's 103. You could just as well whine about the state of popular music. It is what it is and when you are even a little more sophisticated popular culture isn't for you.
