You guys realize that someone who is mentally healthy doesn't give a shit about philosophy, right? It doesn't even come up as something worth considering and yes that includes if your IQ is really high. This is solely the purview of the anxious and depressed because psychiatrically speaking people who don't have mood disturbances don't question existence or being. Getting a degree in this shit is advertising your unstable mental health.

Not really, analytics disagree about what "existence" means but I never heard any philosophical issues about the is of predication. And Heidegger clearly thinks that there is a problem with the fact that we can say both that "the sky is blue" and "Socrates is a mortal" because he assumes (read: takes it for granted from Husserl) that the word is refers to an actual thing in reality, so then we need to find what Socrates and the sky have in common.
