Okay so you're don't like his Catholicism. I get that. I disagree with a lot of the particular moral choices he made but I find his overarching vision quite compelling. I also think he deserves credit for being able to overcome the irrational elements on his religion and culture to a considerable degree. Lust after all was one of the sins punished most lightly.
