What is the epistemological position of this type of person? What books discuss it?

You can literally find loads of cult members alive today who swear their leader performs miracles. No shit eyewitnesses are worthless.

Don't believe anything anyone tells you ever. Just believe in things that resonate with you, whether or not they happened doesn't matter. I started telling people I don't believe in Helen Keller. Sometimes I tell them she was faking it, sometimes I tell them she didn't even exist. They get legitimately assmad. Why do they even care?

I think it's called scientism. If you look it up, you'll come up with a bunch of names. Maybe Bruno Latour will interest you.
But I would suggest that you just ignore such people and move on with your life. They are caught up in the liberal frame of mind, and you cannot help them.

Those reports are essentially the eyewitness testimonies of the researchers conducting them.

It's
>studies are showing
Basically, bugmen who believe everything that the news tells them science says.

This is all part of the Left’s attempts to dismiss objective reality in order to impose their utopian vision. There is certainly truth to this idea that eye witnesses are not 100% reliable. And with this kernel of truth they slip in their lies.
