I'm a hedonist. But hear me out - I'm being rational about it. I'm taking the more utilitarian approach. How could I possibly maximize the pleasure that I will experience?

The answer to that question is actually quite simple. It is to disregard this material world, to seek out my pleasures in the next one. That's right. I've decided to become a Christian. My reasons? Purely egoistic ones. Only heaven offers infinite amount of pleasure for eternity. And that trumps any finite amount that I could experience in this life. Plus, there is that whole moral superiority and so on.

Ever notice how outwardly religious people on this board are all somehow "poisoned"? Every word they say is just virtue signaling, even in they pretend otherwise - it always boils down to "I'm better than you, and here's how". What an astonishing amount of ego, for somebody who claims to be enlightened. Perhaps, they only subject themselves to higher powers, so they themselves can become exalted? I mean, they are absolute nobodies, but with God? Suddenly, they become gods themselves.
Also, they can't detach themselves from their ideas, and as a result are incapable of having a discussion (the literal opposite of the Logos they pretend to worship).

It's pretty clear what Heaven is from the psychological state that the scriptures induce when reading them. That is absolutely real.
The thing is, that psychological state removes itself from many other pleasurable psychological states, including wonton fucking.
Now, the question is, can the psychological state of the scriptures be happily fused with the psychological state of wonton fucking.
If not, then one must choose: the Heaven of the Scriptures, or the "Heaven" of wonton fucking.

The source of hell is very easily found here: it is expectations. Expectations placed by on you by culture, morality, religion. Christianity is literally part of the forces which create hell. But is is worse than that: "The Christian resolution to find the world ugly and bad has made the world ugly and bad."

God is perfect and unaffected by our decisions. His commands are not demands but descriptions of how to guide oneself through a life of free will, toward Heaven. Ignoring thies does not hurt God, but humanity.
