I think that’s unlikely. I think continental philosophy is much like economics in the sense that economics attracts a lot of not-so-intelligent dude bros but it also attracts a lot of intelligent students who are interested in topics of a higher order. Likewise, continental philosophy attracts people who just want to collect letters but also people who are interested in questions of existence, logic, and reason while seeing value in the super-scientific.
