R.I.P. Brian Jacques (1939-2011)

>Brian Jacques passed away in the early hours of Saturday 5th, February 2011, after a serious heart attack.

He's probably the first author who got me into reading. I remember being obsessed with Redwall as a kid. RIP Brian, you will forever be my childhood hero.

I thought you were trolling, but...

I'll miss his detailed descriptions of tangy smoked cheese lavishly spread over thick chunks of hearty nut-bread, accompanied by a creamy bowl of Winter vegetable broth. Rest in Peace.

Good night, sweet prince.

Your stories got me into reading. I remember reading Mattimeo (like 400 pages) in one day as a 5th grader.

Aww man, this makes me sad, I heard about this when I was eating my decadent lightly crisped english muffin slathered liberally with sweet golden honey.

I don't care if anyone doesn't believe me, but this man was a very close family friend. My aunt lived nextdoor, and they were good friends. He was a good man, gave me loads of free books (signed). I'll pass them down, if I have children. Fantastic author.

OH GOD WHY DID I FIND OUT ABOUT THIS NOW

R.I.P Sir Jacques. Thank you for your overly long and eloquent descriptions about nonexistant and impossible food that I am sure you are feasting upon in Heaven with Martin. Or wherever you're eating trifles.
