I whipped up a quick chart of the required books for my existentialism course in the fall.
>pic related
I haven't read any of these before and in the syllabus the prof. mentioned we would have lectures on the more popular authors you all probably know but he chose these books from his preferance.

ITT:
>type of literature course you'd teach
>5 books you'd make students read
>critique others choices

Surprised by no Sartre, Camus, or at least a sliver of Kierkegaard (yeah I know he's not but very influential) .

Imagine studying philosophy at uni instead of using your superior reading skills to become a lawyer, and studying literature, languages, history, and philosophy at your own.

I can tell that you didn't go to college or that you're an underage parasite posting off of your parents overpriced internet plan in-between high school zoom sessions.

It's called an elective you retard; my major is finance and this existentialism course has no prerequisites. I also received a grant for any and all English and Philo courses because of an essay that I submitted. Have you ever even shown anyone your chicken scratch or are you too scared that your PewDiePie fanfic won't fly with your smooth-brained call of duty peers?

It’s weird that he would have you read Zarathustra without any prior experience with Nietzsche

best way a class can be structured imo.

had it years ago for history of philosophy, felt real nice have so much ample time to read, write, and actually focus on writing something good vs writing enough by a certain deadline.
