I have noticed recently that my favourite disposable pen—the venerable BIC CLIC—has disappeared from shelves and i fear is/will soon be discontinued. As such, i need to find a new standard to fill its place. So /lit/, what is your pen of choice? it could be ballpoint, fountain, disposable or refill, whatever. all are welcome.

Love the way these flow for my shitty cursive, and if you use them long enough the point will bend to fit your writing. The point is really thin which might be a negative for writers that put a lot of pressure on their pens.

I don't know how anyone uses 1mm. Feels like a crayon. But 0.5mm is too scratchy for me in most pens.

i've been using the same waterman carene medium-nib fountain pen since 2012

i truly believe the waterman carene to be the finest writing instrument mankind has ever produced. it's the only pen i use and will ever use, and i use it for literally everything.

forgot: currently using pilot's iroshizuku line, a beautiful purple "ajisai"

i collect the pen and distribute them to my absolute top students/most trusted business colleague. a little tongue-in-cheek, pretentious "carene club" has henceforth formed.

if i can aestheticize the world through one carene at a time, i'll be happy.
