I want to read an anthology. All I've read is Nortons. What do you recommend?

What do you like? Short stories? From now or just in general? A mix of authors or just one? PEN/O. Henry Prize Stories books (by year) will have a few gems and a few duds, they're not bad for reading short stories that are contemporary. They're not as pro-faggot as you might think.

Borges, Lydia Davis both have good story collections if you want single author.

A mix of. A sort of best of kind of thing. Something to give someone who knows nothing.

Honestly, literature isn't entertaining for me anymore. Now i only read philosofical, historical, philological and ethimological dictionaries

This is a bit off topic, but the Blackwell Philosophy Anthologies are great if there are specific areas of philosophy you're interested in - from ethics to film and more. They're good about including a good selection of "old" texts that provide a robust context and then also including a good amount of contemporary stuff.
