Hi /lit/! I'll have to write an essay where I shall compare Gone with the Wind and Romeo and Juliet. I have to have it done on Monday. Any help on Gone with the Wind? I read the Romeo and Juliet and loved it, watched the movie so that thing is ok but Gone with the Wind was 900 pages so I didn't even bother to start. Downloading the movie now so I think that's going to help me a bit. Should any of you have any advice or could tell the plot of Gone with the Wind please, I'm all ears.

Ok, go for it. Rhett Butler has seen and done it all, but today he knew it was time to bring out the anal cannon. Yup, thanks! There is synopsis on the wikipedia I'll read that one and try to make the Romeo and Juliet part as good as possible.. I think I'll manage it to finish it in time.. I remember when we all read Frankenstein in high school. We had a pop quiz about the chapters we read, and I forget what the question was exactly but one of the answers was "Igor."

After the test I talked about it to some students, and they said they weren't sure if the answer was Igor or not, to which I said, "Igor isn't in the book. He's just in the movie," and then they were like "Oh... yeah. That's a good point."

best i can offer is looking at different kinds of love, and comparing how different works treat them:

Intro on different kinds of love
Familial
romantic
friendship
self love(?) (romeo at beginning of play?)

there's three or four paragraphs there.

Generally, I find it easier to write essays where the title promotes an argument. So not :
"Discuss treatment of love..."
maybe "Love in___ and ___ is always (something something) discuss."

I dunno, up to you.

Good luck OP, many of us have been there at one time or another.

btw I never did make up those credits in economics.
