You have to be really clever to come up with a genuinely dangerous thought. It's like how French constructs future tense using an adverb and a present tense verb, like "Je t'appelle demain" = "I will call you tomorrow" but is lit "I call you tomorrow".

I can't remember if it's no past tense for that very very old Hebrew or just no continuous past, but the normal construction would be "At the beginning", "In the beginning" reflects the construction that shows the events are happening in this specific period. There are also some words where the meaning is unknown in the opening passage, but they are assumed to be particles of some sort. They're found elsewhere in the Bible but don't appear in enough contexts that anyone can properly glean a meaning.

It's been a little while since I last studied it so my memory isn't perfect I'm afraid.

I spent 5 seconds checking, and yeah there's just a perfect and imperfect tense in Biblical Hebrew, no past, present or future.

Also there isn't really a verb "to be" in Biblical Hebrew, so consider how often "was" "are" etc are used in the proposed alternative.

It would be "Je t'appellerai", it's the avoir conjugation stuck on the end of the infinitive, compare what you did to something like "Je voudrais/'aimerais" (but that's a common mistake). You can also say that, or "Je vais t'appeller", but still you can form the future tense in many languages, including French, with an adverb of time + present tense.

Idk if this guy should be the one to do it, but I'd definitely be interested in a well done literary adaption of the Bible. Some books in prose, others in poetry, depending on their content. I don't think you'd need to do all sections though, there are some parts such as recitation of laws or genealogy that probably couldn't be adapted well.
