Chessboard and pieces set up wrong

how does one set up a chessboard incorrectly?

I think he has the white queen on e1 and the king on d1. he also has the black pieces on the white side and vice versa because the queen is supposed to sit on the color of her piece. everything else is right, though. you are supposed to have pawns lined up on 2, rooks on a1 and h1, knights on b1 and g1, and bishops are c1 and f1. the king always sits to the right of the queen.

same anon, i do want to add that he is playing with a cat’s ass so perhaps standard chess laws do not apply

It's not that the black is on the white side and vice versa, he's set up the board up 90 degrees wrong.

There should be a white square in the bottom right for both players when you sit down to play

Do you lay your book on a table or do you hold it with your hands when you read? I myself get tired really easily when I hold a book that isn't shorter than 200 pages or something.

Why not make or buy yourself some book holder if you're reading on a table?

What's the best one of these fuckers that also isn't too expensive? I got a plastic one but it broke real fast. I know some rich fags with nice ones, but they just go on Amazon and click the first thing they see, even if it's $231 for a desk lamp. I need a cost-benefit layout.

I do, but it's not my favourite place to read. I mostly use it for shitposting, watching pornography, and since the quarantine, work. I like to read lying down so I use my bed as a reading platform.

I do.
I recently bought a small house (raised ranch) with a finished basement. There’s a small 8x10 room down there that the previous homeowners had as an apartment, probably for a family member or something since it’s in a real rural area. It’s got this wood paneling and carpeting and a small window. I have a nice old spinet desk down there that I refurbished along with a couch and a couple ikea bookshelves. I keep my music stuff down there too. Couple guitars and a drum kit. It’s cozy and makes for a good reading / writing environment.

I like it. I don't subscribe to the notion of great art. I subscribe to the notion that certain painting speak to certain people.

My chess opponent is myself, as you might have told if you were a decent detective, as well as the reason for the piece arrangement. The cat knocks them over constantly on the way to it's window.

I've played myself at chess before, of course, but in one sitting where my previous move was always fresh on my mind. It was always a draw. Now, I am taking great gaps between moves such that my strategy will be forgotten and then we will see who wins.
