Scott Alexander. Brilliant, but has covert megalomaniac tendencies.

I disagree with Peterson and think he's nowhere hear bright enough to debate someone like Zizek but he's also not a bad man and he doesn't deserve what happened eith the Benzos.

Richard Dawkins. As a Catholic I disagree with him however his books on evolution are very well written and useful for dabbing on young earth creationists

Tolkien. It's like he decided to build an amazing piano with ivory keys, golden details and all that just to play a lullaby.

Mishima and Dostoyevsky. I myself am a Stirnerite, so I am at total odds with their aesthetic nationalism, but I still immensely love them as writers.

Karl Marx. His analysis on the cruelty of the reality of life about harsh working conditions of the proletariat class is a spot on yet I don't agree with the "solution" provided to overthrow the bourgeoisie class, yet I respect him.

I haven't spent a lot of time around evangelicals, but in the name of scientism he throws philosophy and spirituality out the door. I don't know if his shattering of protestant faith is really that great, because they come out schlubby Reddit atheists. In America, at least, they're almost identical, and since they have never known a real God, they end up falling into some pseudo-spiritual nonsense eventually like Reiki or astrology or they just invent "science" in their minds. Sometimes I think it's best not to tamper with the American peasant faiths.

I'm a devout follower of deontology, but I believe that if there was ever a person devoid of hypocrisy who could authentically disregard morality and never, even under extreme emotional duress, hear its call, it would be Max Stirner. If there can be no reconciliation of the ideas, then I would gladly just fight him to the death, without any desire for bloodshed, justice, or hate.
