It’s tough for me to put into words exactly why I liked it. Bazarov is a straight shooter, he seeks the truth in all things, and I think maybe Turgenev wanted people to think about the ways that they trick themselves, and how radical honesty can weigh heavily on you. T was a good writer, a smart man, and I felt I could trust him when reading.
