I prefer not to generalize about things or groups I have no contact with or any information about. For example, /co/ is stereotyped as being an "SJW hugbox" or called /co/mblr. That seemed like a hand-waving generalization so I spent some time browsing there and discovered that it's more like a group of people enthusiastic about an admittedly somewhat childish subject but they are (generally) earnest and simply make on-topic posts, which frankly is a breath of fresh air.

Try being more generous to others you don't know and take some time to approach subjects or interests in good faith before judging them. If you spent much time at all browsing /pol/ you'd realize that it mostly sucks but not for the reasons you list. You'd learn that despite some trends, there is more diversity of thought there than you think there is. Try being more open-minded, or at least investigate something if you insist on making an enemy out of it.
