Retard, Socrates says multiple times he only discusses with young men because the old are stubborn and have their opinions rooted in ignorance, most young are capricious in their thinking and hold no firm believe yet fail to answer turthfully. At least a young man who is sincere in only speaking of what appears true to him without greater previous mental gymnastics will actually be usefull to the socratic method.
Thats why most socratic dialogues start with a young dude in the beginning to set the premise who then fucks off: Parmenides, Theitetus, etc.

You unironically can't practise the socratic method irl because people are so fucking stupid and care about how they appear most often than not speaking what appears truthful free of bias.

Socratic method is good for teaching kids desu, I am a math instructor/tutor and use it all the time, it's good to let kids figure things out for themselves by nudging them in the right direction, instead of outright telling them sometimes.
