Why is Inferno so much more popular than Purgatorio and Paradisio? It really activates my almonds.

Because that is where he had utmost artistic ability in the true shewing of the Christian religion. He was constrained the held-true dogmas of the church in Purgatorio and Paradisio. And so in the Inferno, he both achieves the highest possible ability of person artistic achievement, but also of religious and theological truth.

He copied Islamic hell. So it's more realistic

The original intent of the art was to just show his wrathful side. The inferior and vapid sequels are just like Home Alone 2 and 3

It’s the basic truth.
Look at his idea of heaven. So dull and anticlimactic.

Hey friendo, I really do wish you'd go anonymous. I dislike immensely feeling that I'm stereotyping you in a negative light and I can feel myself get annoyed at each one of your posts. I think your opinions dispersed and alone aren't terrible, but put together are... just please stop for my sake

Everyone ought to get names and drive the trolls away.
The quality of the board would improve.

And I’m serious. Dante was inspired to write the revenge part. The rest was filler.

I'm familiar with Jaron Lanier's argument for this and it is just wrong. Here are the challenges:
1) You assume that crowds can judge quality. They can't.
2) Accountability drives quality at a small scale, but drives mediocrity and popularism at a large scale. This is well documented and 4chan is at a scale where this would increase a type of popularity or reputational accrual.
3) The structure of identity is only fruitful in the way its intended, in a tribal setting. We have to remember that names were originally used in contexts where people only knew 200 other people, this is now entirely different, our lives are more similar to cattle feed lots than before. I see absolutely nothing more objectifying than a name tag, in a society where there is a glut of people, socializing becomes a practice of beurocracy, which in turn is just the absolute reduction of error, and thereby reducing error you also reduce all forms of greatness (thin tails). Anonymity is a counterweight to how our "identity" (that should drive accountability) really just drives a self-astrangement and objectification that is the result of excess people, information, and capital.

Also, all art is revenge for being born and having to die.

the Beatific Vision combined with Aevum would literally be a tormenting hell tho, since you're not experiencing eternity as a-whole-simultaneously like God does.

and this is the great error of scholasticism.
the lack of emanation theology, since to be filled by the Good should transfigure our soul into become a shining torch of divine light ourselves and this is always expressed as Act, by being filled with divinity we ourselves would overflow with creativity and creation and beauty. Participators of Divinity, deified. Heaven is not finitude.

Because it's the first of the three, it's relatively self-contained and people feel alright about themselves if they don't read the next two. Same reason why people stop with Proust after Du Côté de Chez Swann.

Because the average reader (i.e. a pseud) reads it for the "cool" scenes where people are getting tortured and such, they're probably the same who spout "jokes" like "Woah, the greatest adventure story is the Bible xD". They don't care about the characters presented in the exposition and their importance through history.
They're reading it "for the plot".

>not just god but angels also are actus purus

Borderline heresy according to strict scholasticism, far from dogma

Purgatorio and Paradiso don't lend themselves to dramatic paintings but are much more philosophically and spiritually poignant.

It seems to me that Dante was diametrically opposed to the state of the Church at the time.
